One Daytona, the proposed mixed-use and entertainment destination across from Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla., selected Shaner Hotels and Prime Hospitality Group (PHG) as its hotel partners. Shaner Hotels and PHG are planning a 145-room, full-service boutique property and are working with Marriott International to bring a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel to Daytona Beach and One Daytona. Projected to open in 2016 with Bass Pro Shops and Cobb Theatres, among other tenants, One Daytona is a joint venture between International Speedway Corporation (ISC) and Jacoby Development.
“We’re very excited about featuring an upscale, full-service boutique hotel as part of the One Daytona experience,” said ISC CEO Lesa France Kennedy. “This type of property reiterates our commitment to offering an unparalleled hospitality experience for our fans, visitors, and residents in 2016.”
“Daytona Beach is already the ‘World’s Most Famous Beach,’ and when you add the $400 million Daytona Rising project underway at the Speedway to the incredible vision of One Daytona, we’re extremely proud to be a part of that,” adds Plato Ghinos, president, Shaner Hotels Group. “The strong fundamentals of a thriving visitor, student, and business destination is a perfect fit for our full-service strategy and approach to delivering a great guest experience. We feel this is the right product at the right time, and we look forward to creating a signature property at One Daytona that represents the development’s famed motorsports heritage as well as its close proximity to the famous 23 miles of beach.”
