Eau Palm Beach Resort Opens Breeze Ocean Kitchen

PALM BEACH, Fla.—Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa has announced the March 2016 grand opening of Breeze Ocean Kitchen, a redesigned oceanfront restaurant concept led by Executive Chef Josh Thomsen and Food & Beverage Director Tito Rodriguez-Torres.

Designed by the resort’s creative experts, the seaside social hub exudes a distinctly Palm Beach style and sensibility. Awash in pale yellow and blue hues, the space is a subtle reflection of the recently re-imagined guestroom aesthetic.

“Breeze Ocean Kitchen is an exciting example of the fresh updates that are making our Eau Palm Beach brand a hallmark of the new Palm Beach lifestyle,” said Michael King, the resort’s managing director. “Both resort guests and locals will enjoy the access this provides to an unparalleled oceanside oasis, whether it’s for a sunny lunch, vibrant tapas at five, or a Sunday afternoon Paella experience with live music and sparkling cocktails.”

Furnishings seat up to 120 and are punctuated with striking design details such as a runway fire feature that lights up evening lounge areas and stylish touches that include custom handmade sun face wall tile art by Jonathan Adler; bar tilework from Ann Sacks; pillows by Trina Turk, and chairs from the Phillippe Starck Play collection for Dedon. A “look out” bar top floats above the resorts private beach to offer extraordinary views of the sea and Technicolor sunsets. Innovative GPS-controlled slat roofing adjusts to allow both optimal sunshine and protection from afternoon showers. The space is softened by lush foliage and during the evening hours, suspended lanterns and lights surround guests.

“Breeze Ocean Kitchen offers one of the regions few oceanfront dining experiences, and certainly one of the most spectacular,” Chef Thomsen said. “We’ve created a stunning retreat that lets you relax with the sound of the waves, the ocean breeze in your hair, while indulging in a menu with bright local flavors, such as our Cubano Tacos, Ceviche, and Mojo Florida Pink Shrimp Skewers. Sit back and enjoy a hand-crafted cocktail, local draft beer or ‘spiked’ milkshake.”

The new menu designed by Chef Thomsen stretches throughout the day with offerings that reflect the sun-splashed Palm Beach lifestyle and celebrate the Atlantic’s bounteous “fruits de mer.” A focus on Floridian flavors is brought to life with spices, styles, and preparations that infuse hints of the Caribbean, Latin America, and Asia throughout.
