ENGLEWOOD, Colo.—Destination Hotels and Resorts continues to grow its diverse collection of upscale hotels, resorts, and conference centers with the addition of Oak Brook Hills Resort – Chicago. The 386-room hotel, formerly known as the Chicago Oak Brook Hills Marriott Resort, has been rebranded as Oak Brook Hills Resort – Chicago. DiamondRock Hospitality Company selected Destination Hotels and Resorts to manage the resort through a competitive bid process.
“We are excited to partner with Destination Hotels and Resorts for the Oak Brook Hills Resort – Chicago, given their strong conference center meeting platform and this being an ideal property for their existing customer base,” said Rob Tanenbaum, chief operating officer and executive vice president of asset management for DiamondRock Hospitality. “The team is creative and entrepreneurial with a strong focus on driving asset value.”
The property recently underwent a $15 million renovation. The 386 rooms and 39 hotel suites overlook the award-winning Willow Crest Golf Course, which Destination Hotels and Resorts will also manage. Amenities include three pools featuring a seasonal outdoor therapy option, expansive fitness center, four restaurants, tennis courts, and a 42,500-square-foot IACC-certified conference center.
“We are thrilled to manage our inaugural property on behalf of DiamondRock Hotel Company and welcome Oak Brook Hills Resort – Chicago back to its roots as an independent hotel,” said Jamie Sabatier, president and chief operating officer of Destination Hotels and Resorts. “We are committed to working with DiamondRock to execute property enhancements ensuring that the resort is a leading venue by leveraging our management platform, the picturesque Oak Brook location and the resort’s upscale amenities.”
