CAPE NEDDICK, Maine—Cliff House Maine, nestled across 70 acres atop Bald Head Cliff on the southern coast of Maine, will once again open its doors to guests in August 2016 following the first phase of a large-scale $40 million revitalization.

Cliff House will feature 132 well-appointed guestrooms, each with terraces overlooking the Bald Head Cliff and expansive water views. Accommodations within varying guestrooms and suites all boast a coastal-chic custom design that is rich in texture and comfortably refined. Guestroom options will range from the Luxury Collection with fireplaces, king size beds and private terraces to the coveted Luxury Spa Suites located within the spa offering exclusive services and treatments.
Influenced by coastal Maine flavors, the property’s innovative restaurants and bars will offer guests delicious meals inspired by indigenous Maine products, presented with style. Suspended above the Atlantic for panoramic ocean views with spectacular sunrises, Cliff House’s signature restaurant, The Tiller, will feature a seasonal menu containing varying flavors for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The venue will serve farm-fresh local produce, line-caught fish, roasts and homemade recipes passed down from generations. The Tiller’s outdoor bar is just past the double sided fireplace, paying homage to the fisherman and early rum distillers of New England with fresh and regional dishes and cocktails on the terrace. Nubb’s Lobster Shack provides guests with beloved Maine lobster rolls, fried clams, raw bar, and juicy burgers with pickled garden tomatoes while playing games and engaging in conversation.
The traditions and natural treasures of the sea serve as the inspiration behind the 9,000-square-foot spa at Cliff House. Unique skincare and body treatments will be available from organic botanical poultice ritual to wild blueberry and sugar scrubs, all tying back to the natural properties of the environment. The spa is open to both guests of the resort, as well as local residents in the area, to indulge in rejuvenation at Cliff House.
Boasting over 25,000 square feet of new and flexible meeting and event space, Cliff House will cater to upscale corporate events, meetings, or presentations. From intimate gatherings to large events up to 300 attendees, groups can choose from a selection of 11 unique meeting spaces, which offer ocean views, complimentary Wi-Fi, and expert audiovisual services. Larger groups can utilize the expansive Cliffside Ballroom or 150 seat spacious amphitheater. Additional capabilities will include intuitive planning services ensuring every detail of each social or corporate gathering is organized and stress-free. Groups will also have access to locally sourced menus including some of Maine’s most famous delicacies such as haddock, lobster, and fresh fruit juices.
A variety of outdoor ceremony venues provide alternative options to tie the knot among costal settings. Additionally, The Tiller’s Private Dining Room is an exclusive space for private dinners of 25 guests maximum.
Guests will have access to year-round recreation throughout the property and in the surrounding New England coastal area. The resort is set on 70 acres that will include a 9,000-square-foot luxury spa as well as 18-hole golf course adjacent to the property. Tennis, hiking, biking, sea kayaking, fishing, paddle boarding, ice skating, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and helicopter tours of the lighthouses and coastlines are just among a few activities that will be available to guests. Beyond the on-property recreational activities, Cliff House is located near Southern Maine’s attractions, such as Perkins Cove, Ogunquit Playhouse, Nubble Lighthouse, Stonewall Kitchen Cooking School, The Kittery Outlets, Seashore Trolley Museum, and the 30,000 acres of wildlife Mount Agamenticus.
Situated along the Atlantic Ocean, the resort is located just an hour north of Boston and within driving distance of Portland and New York City. The resort will expand further with additional guestrooms and an adults-only pool in spring 2017.
