A recent analysis of the impact of terrorist attacks on travel and tourism suggests that the long-term impact is not as severe as what happens after a natural disaster, according to The New York Times. The article says that a study by the World Travel and Tourism Council concluded that international tourism in London and Madrid both bounced back quickly following terrorist attacks. The survey found that it takes roughly 13 months on average for tourism to recover from a major terrorist attack, compared to 24 months after a natural disaster.
