NEW YORK—Rockwell Group, the architecture and design firm founded by David Rockwell, announced the appointment of Shawn Sullivan to Partner. Sullivan, who has worked at Rockwell Group since 1997, will also continue to serve as studio leader of his 50-person studio and oversee a diverse array of renowned hospitality projects in the U.S., Asia, and parts of Europe.
Sullivan’s responsibilities will be broadened to cover many firm-wide initiatives. His current projects include Andaz Maui at Wailea, Nobu Hotel (Las Vegas, Riyadh, and Chicago), Nobu Doha, Marriott Edition hotels (New York City and Abu Dhabi), and TAO Downtown.

Sullivan’s previous work includes such high-profile properties as Maialino, Belvedere Hotel Mykonos, the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center, The Library at The Public, Untitled at the Whitney, Marquee nightclub at The Cosmopolitan Hotel of Las Vegas; Aloft hotel; and multiple Nobu restaurants and hotels worldwide. His work has been honored by the AIA, Interior Design magazine and other organizations.
