Assemblyman Proposes Smoking Ban in New York Hotel Rooms

    Last week, state lawmaker Ken Zebrowski proposed a bill that would ban smoking from all New York hotel rooms.

    According to CNN Money, if the bill passes, New York would be the fifth state to prohibit smoking in hotel rooms, joining Michigan, North Dakota, Vermont, and Wisconsin. Marriott, Westin, and Hilton already ban smoking at all locations.

    The article reports that Zebrowski feels the legislation is in line with the current focus on improving public health, and believes the bill will receive support.
