John Pritzker’s private investment firm Geolo Capital and Wanxiang America, part of Chinese auto-parts maker Wanxiang Group Corp., have joined forces to invest $1 billion in U.S. hotels, according to BloombergBusiness. They have already invested $400 million in acquisitions, with properties including Carmel Valley Ranch resort and Ventana Inn & Spa, both in California. The team is looking for more investment opportunities in California, in addition to Texas and Illinois.
