Début Hotel Group Announces First Unscripted Hotel

Debut Hotel Group, the collection of lifestyle hotel brands recently unveiled by Hampshire Hotels Management, announced Monterey Bay, California, as the first location for its new Unscripted Hotels brand. As Monterey Bay’s only beachfront property, Unscripted Hotel Monterey Bay will feature 196 brand new guestrooms, with uninterrupted views of the ocean, contemporary Pacific decor and signature design elements that focus on creating a better live/work environment for guests. Signature features include color therapy, advanced lighting, aromatherapy, therapeutic hybrid coil and memory foam mattresses and sleep-to-wake systems that use light to simulate dawn.

“We are so pleased to be working with the Début Hotel Group and Hampshire Hotels Management team through their offering of inspired, lifestyle hotel brands,” said Cary Mack, Managing Principal at Southwest Value Partners, which owns the Unscripted Monterey Bay. “The Unscripted Hotels brand will bring a unique offering to Monterey Bay with an enhanced level of service and out-of-the-box amenities for guests.”

The new brand is part of a larger expansion by Début Hotel Group to bring to market five different tiers of lifestyle brands with a dozen new hotels slated to open in the next year. Leveraging the company’s current portfolio, the group will oversee the development and launch of Unscripted Hotels, as well as the new lifestyle brand Augustus Hotels & Resorts, the global expansion of the existing Dream Hotels and the repositioning of Time Hotels and Night Hotels.

Appealing to the upper-midscale to upscale market, the Unscripted brand was created as a beautifully designed, accessibly-priced alternative to the largely homogenous products currently available to both consumers and hotel developers. Contemporary but not trendy, Unscripted focuses on healthful yet lively environments and responsible food choices alongside destination lounges, state-of-the-art fitness centers and skin-friendly bath amenities.
