PARSIPPANY, N.J.—Wyndham Hotel Group announced the debut of its upscale Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand in Costa Rica with the opening of the 111-room, newly constructed Wyndham Garden San José Escazú.
The hotel, owned by Rocca Portafolio Comercial and operated by Desarrollos Hoteleros, becomes the third Wyndham Hotel Group property in Costa Rica, joining TRYP by Wyndham San José Sabana, which opened in the capital city in November 2011, and the Ramada Plaza San José Herradura.
“The opening of Wyndham Garden San José Escazú is another integral step in our mission to expand Wyndham Hotel Group’s presence in Latin America and introduce new brands to better serve lodging needs,” said Daniel del Olmo, Wyndham Hotel Group’s senior vice president and managing director, Latin America, in an announcement. “We are thrilled to bring the Wyndham brand to Costa Rica in an area so central to corporate complexes, shopping and fine dining, offering business and leisure travelers the utmost in service and convenience.”
Guestrooms and suites feature complimentary high-speed wireless internet access, 37-inch LED flat screen televisions, coffee makers, and laptop-sized safes. The hotel also offers designated floors for women with female-friendly amenities, 24-hour room service, and free shuttle service to nearby shopping centers and business parks.
Additional services include a 24-hour business center, on-site market, and a fitness center with a 65-foot indoor heated lap pool and Jacuzzi. The hotel’s full-service restaurant, El Cortijo, serves international cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. Guests can also enjoy a cocktail or dinner at the hotel’s Provenza Lounge and its outdoor terrace.
Wyndham Garden San José Escazú offers more than 3,500 square feet of flexible meeting and event space for up to 130 guests. Audio visual equipment, complimentary high-speed internet access, and on-site catering services are available.
