Mobile booking really is as popular as everyone in hospitality keeps saying. According to a new survey from Opera Mediaworks, 51 percent of the Americans polled said they preferred a mobile device as their favorite digital platform. Additionally, 66 percent said they prefered a mobile device for researching a trip. Out of the 1,000 consumers survyed, 45 percent said they rely on branded mobile applications to plan trips, and one in four said email marketing would initiate the booking process.
