InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) announced the opening of Crowne Plaza Edinburgh-The Roxburghe, located on Charlotte Square.
The 198 room hotel is a Category A Listed Building, originally designed as a series of quintessential townhouses by Robert Adam, the Scottish neoclassical architect, interior designer, and furniture designer in 1791. Several of the hotel rooms have retained their original Georgian detail. The hotel’s club lounge, main hotel lounge, and lobby have been extensively refurbished by the Scottish design practice OCCA.
Guests of property receive complimentary access to the health and fitness Suite, pool, sauna, and gym. The hotel also includes an onsite spa.
Matthew Luscombe, chief commercial officer and SVP franchise operations, Europe, IHG said, “We are delighted to open Crowne Plaza Edinburgh-The Roxburghe in Scotland’s capital city. This prestigious hotel is influenced as much by its Georgian heritage as it is the contemporary vibrant cosmopolitan community currently residing in the heart of Edinburgh. The meeting and spa facilities ensure that whether a guest comes for work or a weekend of leisure, all their needs are met.”
