Hotel Construction Pipeline Steadily Grows in Canada

    PORTSMOUTH, N.H.—According to the latest Canada construction pipeline trend report from Lodging Econometrics (LE), the total pipeline ended Q2 2016 with 208 projects/25,177 rooms, up 10 percent by projects and 9 percent by rooms year-over-year (YOY). This is the fourth consecutive quarter where the pipeline shows YOY growth.

    There are 71 projects/9,888 rooms currently under construction. Projects scheduled to start construction in the next 12 months are at 79 projects/8,904 rooms and projects in early planning are at 58 projects/6,385 rooms.
