White Lodging to Build Two Hotels in Downtown Austin

    According to the American-Statesman, White Lodging Services Corp. plans to build a hotel project in downtown Austin that would have two Starwood-brand hotels in a 32-story tower. White Lodging Services Corp. told the news outlet that the project will feature Starwood’s Aloft and Element brands with a total of 410 rooms. Construction is expected to start in December, with an opening slated for summer 2016. The hotel will be located on the corner of Congress Avenue and Seventh Street, just south of the InterContinental Stephen F. Austin hotel. Read more at Statesman.com.
