U.S. Adds 52,500 Franchise Jobs in October

    U.S. private-sector franchise jobs increased by 52,500 during the month of October, the ADP National Franchise Report shows. This marks the highest number of franchise jobs added since ADP began publishing the report, according to Ahu Yildirmaz, vice president and head of the ADP Research Institute. “Over 90 percent of the growth came from Auto Parts & Dealers and Restaurants, two sectors where job growth typically signals increased consumer spending,” Yildirmaz said. The accommodations sector added 500 new jobs compared to the prior month to reach an employment level of 712,000. Meanwhile, private sector small business employment increased by 90,000 jobs from September to October, the ADP Small Business Report reveals. View the October ADP Employment Reports here.
