The Gettysburg Hotel Completes Renovation

GETTYSBURG, Pa.—The Gettysburg Hotel, a 119-room hotel located on Lincoln Square in historic downtown Gettysburg, just completed its multi-million dollar renovation. Updated amenities include a new lobby, newly refurbished guestrooms, refreshed meeting and banquet space, and a brand new restaurant.

“We are thrilled to unveil our new look to the community and to our loyal guests,” said Andrea Proulx, director of sales and marketing. “We are excited to be able to present the hotel in the best light as we welcome thousands of guests from across the country and from our own community to commemorate this historical milestone.”

The hotel enlisted the design services of Baskervill, a full-service architectural and interior design firm, to renovate and re-design the hotel. The updated design recognizes its proximity and ownership affiliation with Gettysburg College. These updates aim to reposition the Gettysburg Hotel as a premier independent hotel more typically found in larger urban markets.

The hotel’s lobby was expanded and opened to create a better flow for guests. Meeting rooms were renovated in order to accommodate larger groups and now offer technological amenities for doing business. The guestrooms feature new furniture and finishes that reflect the new design, and also feature updated and accessible bathrooms. The hotel’s new restaurant, One Lincoln, a nod towards both the famed 16th U.S. President and the hotel’s location on Lincoln Square, was redesigned and expanded to cater to the hotel guest as well as the local resident, offering upscale comfort food.

“The hotel truly offers the perfect atmosphere for both individuals and groups visiting the area for any occasion – whether it be a wedding, business meeting, corporate event, or weekend getaway,” said Proulx. “The urban style and charm of the hotel is unlike any other, making it the new destination for couples, tourists, professionals and community members alike.”
