StonePark Breaks Ground on California La Quinta

IRVING, Texas—La Quinta Inns & Suites has announced that StonePark Capital broke ground on a 104-room La Quinta Inn & Suites in Morgan Hill, Calif. StonePark is one of the many franchise partners who have committed to building La Quinta’s popular Del Sol prototype, which has been designed to maximize revenue-per-square foot while maintaining a competitive cost-per-key.

The announcement comes after a groundbreaking ceremony held this summer, which was attended by Steve Tate, Mayor of Morgan Hill, John Horner, president and CEO of the Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce, and executives from La Quinta Inns & Suites. Morgan Hill is located in the southernmost portion of Silicon Valley and serves as a regional headquarters for high tech companies including Anritsu, Comcast, and Flextronics. The hotel will be a short distance from Henry W. Coe State Park and Sycamore Creek Vineyards, among other attractions. Morgan Hill is acknowledged by the Silicon Valley Business Journal as an emerging tourism destination.

The hotels offers an onsite business and fitness center and indoor pool. Complimentary Bright Side Breakfast will be served each morning and high-speed Internet access is always free at all La Quinta hotels.

“We are proud to acknowledge the ground breaking of the new La Quinta Inn & Suites in Morgan Hill and appreciate StonePark’s growing franchise partnership with La Quinta,” said Rajiv Trivedi, chief development officer at La Quinta. “With more than 875 locations, La Quinta delivers an outstanding product and guest experience. I am personally grateful to Andrew Firestone and StonePark for their deepening commitment to the La Quinta brand.”

“We are excited to launch our project in Morgan Hill,” said Andrew Firestone, principal. “Surrounded by leaders of the community and supported by the finest franchising partner in the industry, we look forward to the completion of the La Quinta Inn & Suites—Morgan Hill and offering our guests an unparalleled hospitality experience in Northern California.”
