Starwood to Debut Aloft Yancheng in China

YANCHENG, China—Aloft Hotels, part of Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide announced the opening of Aloft Yancheng in Jiangsu Province of eastern China. Owned by Yancheng Powerlong Real Estate Development Co., the hotel is the first international hospitality brand in the up-and-coming metropolis, and the seventh Aloft hotel in China. Designed for the next generation of traveler, the hotel features 99 stylish guestrooms and 380 square meters of meeting space.

“From the recent opening in Dalian to Aloft Yancheng, Aloft reflects a growing demand for design-led hotels with a lively social scene in emerging cities,” said Qian Jin, president, Greater China, Starwood Hotels and Resorts. “We are thrilled to add Yancheng, an ideal location, to our robust portfolio in China.”

The city is home to the Yancheng Economic and Technological Development Zone and the Chengnan New District, among other innovative business initiatives. Designated by the provincial government as a key recipient for foreign direct investment in the Jiangsu Coastal Area and a recently added member of the Yangtze Delta Economic Zone, the city’s role in Chinese economic progress and development continues to grow in importance.

The guestrooms will feature loft-inspired spaces and combine high-tech office and entertainment equipment with complimentary wireless Internet access and 42” LED TVs.

Additional highlights of the hotel include Re:fuel by Aloft, the 24/7 pantry for self-service light meals and snacks with healthy options; Nook, the hotel’s signature restaurant that serves international delights as well as famous local dishes; the well-equipped Re:charge fitness center; and Splash, the indoor swimming pool.

In addition, the hotel’s signature W XYZ bar offers a place for guests to enjoy a refreshing cocktail, unwind with on-site recreational amenities such as billiards or table tennis, or catch up-and-coming music acts that are part of Aloft’s signature “Live at Aloft Hotels” events that happen around the world.
