Report: Airbnb Will Not Become Successful OTA

    A new PiperJaffray report suggests that while Airbnb will make share gains in vacation rentals, its adverse impact on online travel agencies will be just 5.3 percent between 2016 and 2020. The report forecasts that Airbnb will not be successful in selling hotel rooms because, among other reasons, it does not have the resources to competitively market hotels against established OTAs.
