On the Move: This Week’s Comings and Goings

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has appointed Michael Dean as chief development officer of the Americas. Prior to joining Carlson Rezidor, Dean played a pivotal role in creating a construction lending program at GE Capital. In his new role, Dean will assume responsibility for spearheading the company’s aggressive growth strategy across the Americas.

Here’s a look at other notable comings and goings that took place this week in hospitality:

First Hospitality Group has hired Jason Segebrecht as chief technology officer. He will leverage his 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, with an extensive background in IT and accounting, in his new role. Segebrecht most recently served as the director of financial applications administration at General Growth Properties.

Jeremy Buffam has been promoted by New Castle Hotels & Resorts to vice president of capital projects and facilities. His current undertakings include the renovation of the historic Westin Nova Scotian, the redesign and renovation of the Algonquin Golf Course in St. Andrews, New Brunswick, and modernizing disparate mechanical systems at the Hampton Inn Milwaukee Downtown.

Crescent Hotels & Resorts has hired Maureen Mackey as vice president of global sales. She joins Crescent after 20 years at Hilton Worldwide, most recently serving as executive director of worldwide sales. In her new role, Mackey will lead a team of global account managers and optimize strategic accounts.

Sterling Brown has been named human resources director at Boston Park Plaza. With more than two decades of experience in human resources, Brown will recruit and manage talent and grow leadership development at the property. His prior roles include serving as an organizational development consultant and vice president of people resources for Sage Hospitality Group.

Hotel Crescent Court in Dallas welcomes Diego Anea as director of food and beverage. He will oversee all food and beverage operations for the hotel’s guestrooms and suites, five restaurants and lounges, and banquet services. Anea has 20 years of hospitality experience and previously spent three years at the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa in California, overseeing four food and beverage venues.

Senih Geray will be returning to the St. Regis New York as general manager, having worked there at the beginning of his hospitality career as a financial controller. His prior experience includes successful tenures as general manager of the St. Regis Atlanta and St. Regis Aspen.

Marcus Hotels & Resorts has appointed Don Jackson as the director of sales and marketing at the Skirvin Hilton Hotel in Oklahoma City, Okla. In his new position, Jackson will oversee all sales efforts, marketing, and public relations for the hotel. Jackson previously served as the director of sales and marketing for the Colcord Hotel and Ambassador Hotel.

CopperWynd Resort & Club in Fountain Hills, Ariz., has named Jeremy Dougherty general manager. Dougherty comes to CopperWynd from Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa, where he served as general manager. Prior to that, he was the opening general manager at the Graduate Hotel Tempe.

Wischermann Partners has appointed Lukus Kindlesparker as general manager of The Westin Nashville. Kindlesparker joins the Westin from W Atlanta Midtown, where he served as general manager. He brings more than 15 years of hotel industry experience to Nashville.
