On the Move: This Week’s Comings and Goings

Stuart Foster has been named vice president, global brand marketing for Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton, and Curio. Foster is a 20-year marketing veteran and in his new role, he will lead a team responsible for marketing, communications, digital, social media, and customer relationship management.

Here’s a look at other notable comings and goings that took place this week:

AccorHotels has announced the appointment of three executives to its luxury division following the acquisition of the Raffles, Fairmount, and Swissotel luxury hotel brands. Greg Dorman, Francois Baudin, and Laure Morvan, respectively, have been appointed SVP development North and Central America, Luxury Hotels Americas and residential; SVP development luxury Hotels Europe Middle East and Africa; and VP development luxury hotels ASPAC.

Bill Oliver has been appointed associate vice president of operations for HP Hotels. In this newly created position, Oliver will be responsible for day-to-day operational execution of a portfolio of hotels that includes Hilton, Marriott, and Starwood-branded assets.

Lael Garner-Weadock has been appointed director of training and development for Marcus Hotels & Resorts. Garner-Weadock has 19 years of experience of training, development, and customer service. Most recently, she served as national field training manager for Noodles & Company, and in her new role she will be responsible for the assessment and training curriculum at both the corporate and property levels.

Langham Place, New York, Fifth Avenue has announced the appointment of Pamela Feick as the hotel’s new director of sales and marketing. In this role, Feick will direct and oversee the hotel’s sales, marketing, public relations, and social media teams and be responsible for the continued promotion of the hotel.

Malliouhana, an Auberge Resort has appointed Marc Alvarez as executive chef of The Restaurant at Malliouhana. With more than 30 years of industry experience, Alvarez will focus on all aspects of the culinary program at The Restaurant and throughout the resort.

IHG has announced that Timo Weiland, a New York-based women’s and menswear brand, has been appointed as style director for the Crowne Plaza brand in the Americas and will design a new collection of hotel team member uniforms.

The London NYC has named Anne Stingle as director of sales and marketing, effective immediately. In her role, Stingle will oversee the hotel’s sales and catering team, marketing initiatives, and several key accounts.

Alliance Hospitality has announced the hiring of Amie Reid as the company’s corporate director of sales. In this position, Reid will have responsibilities for developing and leading Alliance’s growing portfolio of hotels in the areas of sales and revenue management. Reid has more than 16 years of sales experience with both full-service and limited-service properties, previously working with brands such as Marriott, Hilton, and Starwood.
