On the Move: This Week’s Comings and Goings

Gaurav Bhushan has been appointed chief development officer at AccorHotels, effective July 1. He will report directly to Sébastien Bazin, chief executive officer. Bhushan previously led AccorHotel’s Asia Pacific development teams, and will remain responsible for the region’s development.

Here are some more job moves that have taken place this week:

Elias Assaly has joined Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group as vice president of operations, managed hotels. He most recently served as chief operating officer for Cortland Partners, a real estate development company.

Yarin Faurer has been appointed spa director at Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa. She has more than 15 years of management experience in hospitality and wellness, and recently worked at Alaya Spa at the Bonaventure Resort in Weston, Fla.

Dream Hotels has announced two leadership appointments. Ayo Akinsete has been named general manager of Dream Hollywood after previously serving as general manager of Dream Downtown. Filling the position of general manager of Dream Downtown is Dan Daley. He previously worked as shift director of operations for Hampshire Hotels Management.

Destination Hotels has named Mark Jennings senior vice president of operations, east region. He previously spent more than 20 years in executive leadership roles for Hyatt.

Patrick Palmer has been appointed general manager of Crowne Plaza Atlanta-Midtown. Prior to his new position, Palmer worked as director of rooms at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa.

John Luke has been named the new general manager of Hilton Orlando, connected to the Orange County Convention Center. He has been with the company for 33 years, most recently working at Hilton Minneapolis.
