SAN LUIS OBISPO, California—Nomada Hotel Group announced the launch of the Nomada Collection, a third-party management platform designed specifically for independent hotels seeking to preserve their identity while achieving modern performance.
At a time when many independent hotels face increasing pressure to standardize or affiliate with large brands, Nomada Collection offers a design-forward, systems-driven management model rooted in cultural preservation and high-margin performance.
“We believe the most meaningful hotels to the modern-day traveler are those with history, character, and a strong sense of place,” said Kimberly Walker, founder and creative director of Nomada Hotel Group. “The Nomada Collection exists to protect the identity while giving owners the tools, systems, and strategies to thrive in a competitive marketplace.”
Built from the operational foundation and success of five California properties, the Nomada Collection model integrates design-led development, centralized marketing and PR, revenue optimization, and a modern technology stack tailored for small, independent hotels.
The company’s flagship property, Skyview Los Alamos, a restored 1959 roadside motel, demonstrates the model’s effectiveness. Following repositioning under Nomada, the property experienced significant increases in ADR, occupancy, and direct bookings, while reducing reliance on OTA channels.
