Marriott International Introduces Fairfield Brand to Asia

BENGALURU, INDIA—Marriott International expanded its brand offering in Asia with the opening of its first Fairfield by Marriott hotel in Bengaluru, India.

Considered a growth engine for the company’s expansion in Asia with 12 hotels signed in India and additional properties signed in Nepal and Indonesia, Fairfield represents an opportunity for Marriott International to move into new locations and markets.

“For over a year, we conducted research in India and Asia to better understand guests’ preferences around the guest rooms, public spaces and food and beverage offerings,” said Shruti Gandhi Buckley, vice president global brand management, for Fairfield Inn and Suites at Marriott International. “The Fairfield product in Asia is a direct result of the research, ensuring we deliver a product that is truly designed for the value-seeking Asian business traveler and is differentiated from the competition.”

The Fairfield Bengaluru Rajajinagar in South India offers 148-rooms and Kava, a three-meal-a-day restaurant which will serve authentic Indian cuisine along with Western menu options, featuring both buffet and à la carte options. In addition the hotel has a functional lobby with a bar lounge and 24/7 Market for drinks and snacks, banquet and meeting room space with updated technology, a business center, and a fitness center and a rooftop pool.
