Lodging Deals Dominate Travel Acquisitions

    While Expedia’s buying spree stole the spotlight last year, lodging deals are dominating travel acquisitions in 2016. Since January, there have been at least six hotel acquisitions totaling more than $16 billion, $13 billion of which comes from the Marriott-Starwood deal that closed last month.
