Interstate Hotels & Resorts Opens the Holiday Inn Express Utrecht Papendorp in the Netherlands

ARLINGTON, Va.—Interstate Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of the 118-room Holiday Inn Express Utrecht Papendorp in the Netherlands. The hotel is the fourth to open of a nine-hotel portfolio being developed across the Netherlands. The portfolio is jointly owned by Interstate Hotels & Resorts and The Vincent Hotels Group (TVHG) and operated by Interstate under long-term contracts.

“The success of Interstate’s global expansion is due largely to our strong relationships with the world’s leading hotel brands and prominent owners and developers,” said Jim Abrahamson, Interstate’s chief executive officer, in an announcement. “I am certain that this hotel, the first Holiday Inn Express in Utrecht, will quickly meet the growing demand in this market.”

Hotel amenities include lobby level lounge spaces for work or relaxation, a lobby bar, complimentary Wi-Fi, and continental breakfast served daily. A 24-hour market is available for snacks and sundries.

“By partnering with experienced local companies like TVHG, we are able to support our growth strategy in key markets where there is a demand for hotels from well-known international brands,” said Leslie Ng, Interstate’s chief investment officer. “We are confident in our strategy and ability to carry it forward into the coming years.”
