Interstate Hotels and Resorts Opens Seven Hotels in Europe

ARLINGTON, Va.—Interstate Hotels and Resorts announced seven new European hotel openings this spring in countries including the U.K., Ireland, The Netherlands, and Hungary. Six branded hotels—Hampton by Hilton, Four Points by Sheraton and Holiday Inn Express—and one independent luxury hotel expand the company’s portfolio by more than 1,200 rooms.

The newest hotel to open in the United Kingdom, the 120-room Hampton by Hilton Exeter Airport, is the 10th hotel Interstate operates in the U.K. The company’s Netherlands portfolio features four new additions: Hampton by Hilton Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, Holiday Inn Express Arnhem, Holiday Inn Express Rotterdam-Central Station, and Hampton by Hilton Amsterdam /Arena Boulevard. In Hungary, the 136-room Four Points by Sheraton Kecskemet Hotel and Conference Center is the first Four Points by Sheraton brand and the first Interstate managed hotel in that country. And The Marker, a 187-room design-focused independent hotel opened in Dublin, Ireland on April 2.

“It is gratifying to see our pipeline continue to expand in Europe,” said Jim Abrahamson, Interstate’s chief executive officer. “Broadening the geographic footprint and portfolio diversity of Interstate is a strategic venture that is made possible through our performance. Interstate’s owner-centric philosophy is consistently reinforced through the Company’s relationships, innovation and depth of experience, producing strong results for owners worldwide.”
