IHMRS & BDNY Announce 2010 Editors’ Choice Award Winners

NEW YORK, N.Y.—Nine exhibitors were
honored with Editors’ Choice Awards during the Opening Ceremonies of the
95th annual International Hotel, Motel + Restaurant Show (IHMRS) and
the inaugural Boutique Design New York (BDNY) at New York City’s Jacob
K. Javits Convention Center. The Awards program recognizes best new
products within the categories of design, equipment & supplies,
guest amenities, linens, and technology, as well as an eco-friendly
equivalent to each of these categories. From the  nine winners, the
Kenneth F. Hine “Best of Show” Award also was selected.

The 2010 Editors’ Choice Award winners are:

Kenneth F. Hine “Best of Show”— Hotmixpro-Cooking
Pleasure (Modena, Italy) for HotmixPRO, an innovative machine designed
to operate simultaneously as both a mixer for blending liquids and a
cutter for chopping solid ingredients.

Design—Mitchell
Gold + Bob Williams (Taylorsville, N.C.) for the Super Luxe Sleeper
Sofa, the newest in sleeper sofa design and comfort featuring a zip off
pillow top for easy replacement and a sturdy anti-tipping mechanism with
a convenient handle for easy access.

Editors
from leading hospitality trade publications reviewed nearly 100
submissions of cutting-edge, new products, and selected winners based on
innovative product design, how a product answers a particular industry
need, creative use of material or construction, and development or use
of a new technology.
