IHG Signs First Hotel Indigo in Finland

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) announced the signing of its first Hotel Indigo in Finland: Hotel Indigo Helsinki – Boulevard.

Due to open in 2015, the 120-room hotel is a conversion of an existing building. It will open under a franchise agreement with International Restel Hotels Ltd; a trusted partner who already operates all eight of IHG’s existing hotels in Finland.

The hotel will be located in the Kamppi/Punavuori districts of Helsinki and will be designed to reflect its neighborhood and history of the surrounding area.

Peter Vermeer, vice president of development for Benelux and Eastern Europe, IHG said: “We’re delighted to announce our ninth property with International Restel Hotels Ltd. This will be the first Hotel Indigo hotel in the Nordics showing the appetite for the Hotel Indigo brand right across northern Europe. We are looking forward to our long standing partnership with Restel going from strength to strength in the future.”
