Hilton Worldwide Opens First Hilton Garden Inn in Argentina

MCLEAN, Va.—Hilton Worldwide announced the opening of the new-build 103-room Hilton Garden Inn Tucuman, the brand’s first hotel in Argentina.

“Tucuman provides a great opportunity for tourism, with its diverse offering of adventure, gastronomy and cultural attractions,” said Danny Hughes, senior vice president, Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America for Hilton Worldwide, in an announcement. “The opening of the Hilton Garden Inn represents our commitment to tourism development in the province, and our desire to become an active member of this welcoming community.”

Hilton Garden Inn Tucuman forms part of the Central Tucumano mixed use complex, a project developed by the company Vizora, which was designed to revive the spirit of the old “Mercado de Abasto” market and an area that was fundamental to the commercial development of the province for decades.

The hotel features 103 guestrooms, all decorated with local culture and history in mind. Each room features unique decorative pots, specially designed by artisans from Calchaquies Valley, as well as original prints with themes depicting the different indigenous groups of the area. Rooms also offer LCD high-definition Smart TVs, alarm clocks with MP3 connectivity, in-room work dessk, and a “hospitality center” that includes a mini refrigerator and coffee maker.

The lobby includes a Green Wall made of expired Palo Santo trees, native to Northern Argentina. In an effort to protect the region’s natural resources, no live trees were used when creating the decorative wall that invites nature into the interior of this new property.

“We are thrilled to bring a Hilton Garden Inn to Tucuman, and reinforce our commitment to welcome travelers to our award-winning brand in new destinations,” said Adrian Kurre, global head, Hilton Garden Inn. “We look forward to contributing to the growth and development of the region, and offering visitors the newest accommodation option for their stay.”

Recreational facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, solarium, and a complimentary fitness center and spa facilities featuring cardio and strength training equipment, as well as a dry sauna and indoor Jacuzzi.

Travelers to the Hilton Garden Inn Tucuman also have access to more than 8,500 square feet of meeting space, including a more than 4,000 square foot ballroom with capacity for 400, and signature Hilton Garden Inn brand attributes such as complimentary Wi-Fi and a 24-hour business center.
