Gasparilla Inn and Club Welcomes New Director of F&B

GasparillaInnJoe Salviolo was recently named director of food and beverage at The Gasparilla Inn and Club in Boca Grande, Fla. Saviolo’s experience in the hospitality industry includes 10 years with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, where he served as a food and beverage manager, beverage director, and operations manager. After his stint with The Ritz-Carlton, Saviolo spent four years as general manager of Wolfgang Puck’s The Source, a fine dining restaurant located at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. He also served as president of Twenty Nine and Wine Company and managing partner of Bloomin’ Brands.

“I am excited to be part of this legendary hotel in beautiful Boca Grande, working with a talented team of professionals,” Saviolo said. “Whether I’m working with the chefs to create new menu items or planning a special event like the Beach, BBQ, Bourbon and Beer weekend in June, I want to make sure that everything is done with the same impeccable style that has always defined The Inn.”

The Gasparilla Inn and Club offers guests a variety of options for drinks and dining, including The Inn’s Dining Room, the Pink Elephant, the Beach Club, and BZ’s. The Inn’s Dining Room is renowned for its traditional heritage dining experience and a wine list that received the 2013 Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator magazine. For a casual lunch or dinner, guests enjoy the Pink Elephant’s popular menu of signature seafood and American classics. The Beach Club offers lighter fare for lunch, a full drink menu, as well as views of the Gulf of Mexico. BZ’s, located on the main floor of The Inn, is a popular late-day spot to enjoy favorite beverages and tasty snacks.

Salviolo joins The Gasparilla Inn and Club during its Centennial Season, which continues through July 6, 2014.
