First Wyndham Garden Opens in South Carolina

PARSIPPANY, N.J.—Wyndham Hotel Group announced the expansion of the Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand in South Carolina with the addition of the first Wyndham Garden hotel in the state, the 117-room Inn at USC Wyndham Garden Columbia.

The hotel is owned by the USC Development Foundation and managed by Columbia-based IMIC Hotels.

“This newest addition to the Wyndham portfolio represents our continued commitment to providing travelers with upscale, dependable locations throughout the United States in the towns and cities where they travel,” said John Green, brand senior vice president of Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, in an announcement. “The Inn at USC Wyndham Garden Columbia is a wonderful addition to our brand family and will provide Columbia’s visitors with the utmost in hospitality as well as the amenities they need for successful trips.”

Guestrooms at the Inn at USC Wyndham Garden Columbia are appointed with flat screen televisions, complimentary high-speed wireless internet access, microwaves, and refrigerators. Select suites include decorative fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, marble bathrooms, and balconies.

The hotel boasts over 3,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space in six individual rooms, ranging from the board room for small groups to the Carolina Room, which can accommodate up to 120 guests.

Additional hotel services and amenities include a 24-hour business center; fitness center; outdoor jogging trails adjacent to the property; library; in-room dining; and a complimentary, full cooked-to-order breakfast buffet served daily to guests.
