First Nobu Hotel in Asia Opens at City of Dreams Manila

MANILA, Philippines—The first Nobu Hotel in Asia has officially opened at City of Dreams Manila, Melco Crown Entertainment’s new integrated casino resort at Entertainment City, Manila.

Championed by Nobu Hospitality founding partners chef Nobu Matsuhisa, actor Robert De Niro, and Hollywood producer Meir Teper, the 321-room boutique hotel delivers a celebrity-inspired and “fun-luxury” experience. This marks the second worldwide Nobu Hotel to open as part of Nobu Hospitality’s nine-hotel portfolio.

“We are convinced that the development of highly-exclusive, luxury lifestyle offerings is a key driver in inspiring growing numbers of the region’s luxury-leisure destination seekers to visit Manila and the Philippines,” said Clarence Chung, chairman of Melco Crown (Philippines) Resorts Corporation.

“Our exciting mix of celebrity-inspired sophisticated style, bespoke luxury hospitality, and outstanding Nobu-inspired cuisine really does offer something totally unique to Asia’s discerningly stylish, trendsetting guests who are looking for the ultimate luxury-lifestyle experience,” added Trevor Horwell, CEO of Nobu Hospitality.

Chef Nobu’s culinary empire spans through 36 restaurants in 31 cities and five continents. Guests at Nobu Hotel Manila can enjoy his contemporary artistic fusion and cuisine in the hotel’s Nobu Restaurant. The setting includes an outdoor cabana-styled dining terrace situated on a platform deck. The Nobu Restaurant, crafted by Chef Nobu and helmed by Nobu Executive Chef Zachary Hillberry, features Chef Nobu’s specialties, including Nobu-style sushi and black cod with miso, together with locally sourced dishes created by the hotel’s culinary team.

The Nobu Hotel also offers a special in-room menu featuring Nobu-inspired menu items, together with the Nobu Lounge situated in the hotel’s lobby and the Nobu Spa & Fitness Room situated adjacent to the raised platform deck area.

Nobu Hotel Manila is situated within City of Dreams Manila, located at the gateway to Manila’s Entertainment City, which opened in December 2014.
