MCLEAN, Va.—Embassy Suites Hotels welcomes the arrival of the upscale hotel brand’s third property in the state of Maryland, the Embassy Suites Baltimore-Downtown. The newly converted property underwent an extensive renovation prior to opening.
“We’re pleased to mark the official opening of our Baltimore-Downtown property,” said John Rogers, global head of Embassy Suites Hotels. “As we’re focused on growing the brand in urban markets, this is an excellent demonstration of how our flexible design approach can meet the needs of a downtown location.”
The property, formerly Tremont Suites Hotel, was developed as a joint venture between Garrison Investment Group and Chartres Lodging Group, and is managed by Kokua Hospitality. The 37-story hotel features 300 remodeled guestrooms with modernized bathrooms and wet bars, newly designed lobby and guest public areas, an outdoor pool, and a new food and beverage outlet, B’more Bistro and Lounge. The hotel includes the Grand Historic Venue, featuring 45,000 square feet of meeting space and pre-function space with 19 banquet rooms across five floors. The property also offers a complimentary fitness center, business center, and seasonal outdoor pool.
“We are thrilled to officially complete our transformation to an Embassy Suites hotel, which will help us create an even warmer and more hospitable environment for our guests,” said James LoBosco, managing director of Embassy Suites Baltimore-Downtown. “We look forward to bringing the elevated and reliable services and guest satisfaction synonymous with the Embassy Suites brand to both business and leisure travelers looking for an upscale hotel option in the downtown Baltimore area.”
