Eden Roc Miami Beach Appoints New Management

MIAMI—Hotel investment group Eden Roc LLLP, the owner of the Eden Roc Hotel in Miami, Fla., announced that Destination Hotels and Resorts will assume management of the luxury property beginning July 11. The 21-floor, 631-room hotel, formerly known as the Eden Roc Renaissance Hotel, has been rebranded as the Eden Roc Miami Beach.

“This transition marks the beginning of a new era for Eden Roc Miami Beach,” said Diego Ardid, principal of Eden Roc LLLP. “With the seasoned management team from Destination Hotels and Resorts in place, Eden Roc will be ready to achieve its true potential by providing our guests with an extraordinary lifestyle experience that fully leverages the resort’s amenities, including renowned restaurants, the first-ever ELLE Spa, and its breathtaking views of Miami Beach from the comfort of luxurious guestrooms, suites, and bungalows.”

The announcement comes after a tense battle between Eden Roc and Marriott International, the resort’s former management company, which ran the hotel under the Renaissance brand. Last week Marriott said that it would cease managing the resort, but it has filed an amended complaint in the pending litigation against the resort’s owner. Marriott is seeking millions of dollars in breach of contract damages.
