DoubleTree by Hilton Opens Brand’s First Hotel in Quebec

QUEBEC, Canada—DoubleTree by Hilton today announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Gatineau-Ottawa, marking entry of the brand into the Canadian province of Quebec. Formerly the Château Cartier, the landmark located in the National Capital Region unveils an updated look and enhanced amenities following an 18-month, $3 million revamp of the hotel’s guestrooms, public areas, and amenities. The hotel is owned and managed by Ken Pierre Investment LPD.

Set within a charming chateau-style property, the 125-room DoubleTree by Hilton Gatineau-Ottawa debuts updated décor and amenities throughout all of the guestrooms, lobby and meeting areas. The hotel offers ample on-site amenities including a full service spa and hair salon, indoor saltwater pool, and hot tub.

The hotel offers over 21,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, including 19 meeting rooms and first-class catering and event planning teams. Available for various types of events, a 6,302 square-foot grand ballroom accommodates up to 1,200 people theatre-style, and an outdoor gazebo overlooks the property’s grounds for outdoor ceremonies.

The property also includes upscale Brazilian restaurant, Ekko de Brasil, an authentic churrascaria featuring a variety of 10 skewered meats carved directly at the table. For guests seeking a more casual atmosphere, Le Bistronöme Restaurant and Bar offers a buffet breakfast and dynamic bistro dinner menu daily. Additionally, as the hotel puts an emphasis on local culture, DoubleTree by Hilton Gatineau-Ottawa hosts regular special events with artists to debut new local artwork at the property.
