Davidson enters Downtown Boston Market with Hilton

WASHINGTON—Davidson Hotels & Resorts, one of the nation’s largest independent hotel management companies, announced that it has assumed management of the 362-room Hilton Boston Downtown/Financial District. The hotel is the second management agreement between owners DiamondRock Hospitality Company and Davidson.

“We are honored to be selected to manage this high profile property in Boston, which is one of the most sophisticated markets in our industry,” said John Belden, Davidson’s president and CEO, in an announcement. “We are also enthusiastic about continuing and growing our relationship with DiamondRock.”

“Davidson exceeded our expectations on our first hotel management opportunity together. They quickly improved operations, enhanced the guest experience and implemented aggressive revenue management and marketing strategies that led to an improved market share and bottom line,” said John Williams, president and chief operating officer for DiamondRock Hospitality. “We look forward to their duplicating that success at the Hilton Boston Downtown/Financial District.”

The Hilton Boston Downtown/Financial District features 362 rooms, including 66 large, two-room suites. Hotel amenities include more than 10,000 square feet of meeting space, complimentary business center, fitness center and Nix’s Mate Restaurant,which is located in the main level of the hotel with a separate, dedicated entrance on Broad Street.
