Aqua Hospitality Signs Management Contracts in Guam

HONOLULU, Hawaii—Hawaii-based Aqua Hospitality has announced it will assume management of two hotels in Guam beginning in December. The two additional properties brings the number of hotels in the company’s portfolio to 26. The new management contracts represent a milestone for Aqua as they will be the company’s first hotels outside of Hawaii. The two Guam properties owned by Sentry Hospitality collectively offer almost 200 rooms.

“We are excited in that just a little over a decade we have gone from one Hawaiian island to every Hawaiian tourism island. Now we are expanding our dynamic management model outside of the islands,” said Aqua Hospitality President and CEO Ben Rafter. “We owe our success to our progressive approach to the tourism marketplace—it is important to maintain the service aspects of the travel business while bringing extraordinary analytics to the process. This approach allows Aqua to deliver an exciting product to guests while providing owners an unparalleled level of transparency and return on investment.”

The two new Aqua properties currently operate as a Ramada and as a Days Inn. The Ramada property will be renamed Aqua Suites Guam and become part of the Aqua Hotels and Resorts brand. The Days Inn property will continue to fly the Days Inn flag while being operated by Aqua Hospitality. Sentry Hospitality is coordinating with Aqua to refresh each of the properties beginning in 2014.

Aqua has worked to solidify existing partnerships with hotel owners while creating relationships with well-capitalized partners. Other recent additions to the portfolio have been on the Big Island of Hawaii, Oahu and Kauai.

Aqua Hospitality manages properties across three brands of hotels—Monogram Hotel Collection, Aqua Hotels and Resorts, and Lite Hotels.
