Eric Myers has been appointed vice president of franchise sales and development for My Place Hotels of America. Before working in hospitality, Myers began his career selling appliances and cars. Myers will remain a managing partner at My Place, but will expand his position to include ongoing development in the My Place portfolio.

Thomas Kochs has been announced as managing director of Corinthia Hotel London, where Kochs will operate the company’s flagship property. With recent experience in managerial positions, Kochs joins Corinthia from the Hotel Café Royal in London where he held the same title.
Dustin Irwin has been hired by Omni La Costa Resort & Spa as director of golf operations. Irwin’s experience is in both golf and hospitality; Irwin is a PGA of America member who has previously held golf management positions and who also has 10 years of experience with brands like Marriott and The Ritz-Carlton.
BENCHMARK has named Jim Koutsky director of finance for Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, W.V. Koutsy’s experience includes the position of CFO at Visionary Destin in Fla., and the position of corporate controller at Callaway Gardens Resorts of Pine Mountain, Ga. Koutsky also has 14 years of experience with Hyatt Hotels.
Delaware North has announced the appointment of Scott Socha as president. Socha will oversee the parks and resorts company and create new strategies to drive business and revenue. Delaware North’s properties include services at state parks, national parks, and historic attractions like the Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite.
Toni Robertson has been named executive chef of The Peninsula Chicago’s three kitchens. Including overseeing the kitchens, she will also manage and operate banquets, pastry kitchens, and room service. Robertson has 24 years of executive chef experience in local and international kitchens, including some 5-star resorts.
Phillip C. Knuepfer has been appointed general manager of the Mandarin Oriental, Boston. Kneupfer has 15 years of hospitality experience locally and internationally, including Germany, Hawaii, and Asia. He began working for the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in 2002.
The William Vale in Brooklyn, N.Y., welcomes Susan Choi-Grant as director of sales and marketing. The property includes a ballroom that can seat up to 300 guests as well as venues for weddings and conferences. In her new role, Choi-Grant will create new programs that will improve the property’s ROI.
Greg Tucker has been named the director of sales for Ironworks Hotel Indy, Indianapolis. Tucker’s position includes promoting guest satisfaction and generating new business for the hotel. With 13 years of sales experience, Tucker’s previously managed accounts at Keystone Crossing.
