Omni Hotels & Resorts has appointed Ken Barnes as the new chief information officer for the brand. In this role, he will be responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of all information technology. He will help drive Omni’s business objectives by providing the enterprise-wide information technology vision and leadership for operating a reliable and stable infrastructure, fostering innovation, and leading the deployment and management of current and emerging technology products, services, and systems across the organization.

The Willard InterContinental Washington has added Shannon Schneider to its team as director of sales and marketing. Schneider previously served as the director of sales at the Hilton Washington, D.C. and most recently, the Fairmount Washington, D.C.
Hersha Hospitality Management has appointed Kathleen Flanary as general manager of The Boxer Boston Hotel. Flanary has been with The Boxer Boston Hotel for three years, and in her new role will be responsible for integrating neighborhood history, art, and culinary traditions into the guest experience.
The Reach, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, has announced the appointment of Jose Gomez as the new executive chef. With over 15 years of culinary expertise, Gomez will oversee the resort’s Spencer’s by the Sea restaurant and banquet operations, including a staff of 25 to 30 sous chefs, cooks, and stewards.
Hilton San Francisco Union Square and Parc 55 San Francisco – A Hilton Hotel have appointed Deborah Josue as complex senior sales manager. In her new position, Josue will serve as the head representative for the California association market by catering to prospective clients and customers to further propel both hotels as industry leaders in meetings and conventions services.
Hard Rock International has appointed Duana Klein as vice president of licensing. In this newly created role, Klein will oversee the company’s global licensing initiatives outside of the Rock Shop.
Teresa Alfonso will return to Royal Hideaway Playacar as hotel director. Alfonso led operations from the property’s launch through its first seven years and will oversee a renovation of the property through December 2016.
The Hotel Group has appointed Eric McCarthy as vice president of hotel accounting and Don Haggarty as vice president of renovations and construction. Both new executives joined THG earlier this year.
Marcus Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of David DiSalvo as area director of sales and marketing for the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark, and Heidel House Resort & Spa. In his new role, DiSalvo will be responsible for overseeing all communications, marketing and group sales initiatives to continue to attract leisure, business, and group travelers to all three properties.
Benchmark Hospitality International has appointed Chris Steffich as director of operations for Eaglewood Resort & Spa in Itasca, Ill. Steffich was most recently the director of food and beverage for Lockheed Martin Center for Leadership Excellence.
