CHICAGO—Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Hotel Equities have announced the opening of Hyatt Place Savannah Airport. The 81-room hotel is located two miles from the Savannah Hilton Head International Airport and a short distance from historic downtown Savannah.
“We are delighted to bring the Hyatt Place brand to the Savannah area with the opening of Hyatt Place Savannah Airport,” said Joe Reardon, vice president of marketing and business development for Hotel Equities. “Hyatt Place was designed for a lifestyle, not a demographic, and as a result, we are confident that everyone from business travelers to family vacationers will appreciate the open, intuitive design, casual atmosphere and practical amenities, such as free Wi-Fi and 24-hour food offerings.”
The hotel’s location also provides guests with easy access to a variety of entertainment options, including the national Mighty Eight Air Force Museum, a movie complex with an IMAX theater, and several indoor recreation centers.
“As a major port, distribution center, and tourist destination, Savannah is growing and the Hyatt Place brand is a great fit for the area,” Reardon said. “Hotel Equities is excited to extend our portfolio on the Georgia coast and work with another great hotel ownership group.”
