The Governor Hotel Announces New Bar Lounge

OLYMPIA, Wash.—Coast Hotels USA announces a new bar lounge, The Governor’s Cellar, scheduled to open this month on its centrally located Olympia property. The 50-seat restaurant, located in the lobby of The Governor Hotel, will overlook Olympia’s picturesque Sylvester Park, and feature a spacious, 25-foot live edge bar with crystal chandeliers, wine barrel tables, brick accents and neutral tones that are unique to the Pacific Northwest. Chef de cuisine Lanette Miles will offer contemporary American cuisine and an upscale and elegant menu that utilizes local and fresh, seasonal ingredients. Additionally, the restaurant will host breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, as well as weekend brunch, catering and room service.

“We’re thrilled to welcome The Governor’s Cellar as the newest addition to our property,” said Ryan Kang, general manager of The Governor. “The Governor is committed to providing exceptional value to our guests and having the opportunity to offer a quality on-site restaurant only elevates their overall experience.”

The restaurant will serve dishes such as Miles’ famous “Fresh Pear French Toast Pain Perdue” with brown butter, baked avocado and egg with sweet potato hash browns, lobster rolls, whiskey filet and a cupcake cocktail of the week. Meanwhile, the bar offers local beers and wines from Hoh River Brewery, Scatter, and Medicine Creek Wines, as well as seasonal cocktails using freshly squeezed juices. Some of this season’s cocktails include the Winter Fruit Sangria and the Bourbon-Spiked Vanilla Chai.

“Our food will take the guests on a culinary adventure they are sure to never forget,” said Chef Lanette Miles. “Elegant plated food presentations are very important to us as we want food that is both gorgeous and tastes amazing. We have a customized approach with the warmth of a team who genuinely cares about the overall food experience.”
