Temporary Spending Bill Likely in Face of Shutdown

    With a government shutdown threat quickly approaching and Republican and Democrat leaders still far from finalizing a spending package, a short-term spending bill will likely be put in place to avoid another shutdown. The avoidance of a shutdown would be beneficial to the lodging industry, as it lost 115.2 million in economic activity during 2013’s shutdown.
