Six Senses to Open Hotel on Private Island in the Seychelles

Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas announced their first resort in the Seychelles called Six Senses Zil Pasyon. Scheduled to open in 2015, the resort is located on the private island of Félicité. The island is approximately 30 nautical miles northeast of Mahe, with access by helicopter from the international airport or a short boat ride from neighbouring La Digue and Praslin islands.

Measuring 652 acres, the resort will create a destination that embraces nature while offering modern comforts. It will be the sole resort on the island. The property will feature 28 one-bedroom villas, two two-bedroom villas, and 17 residences, all with private pools. Six Senses will oversee interior design.

Amenities at the island facility will include two restaurants, a bar, retail outlets, a recreation center, and Six Senses Spa in addition to a well-appointed gym and swimming pool. It will also provide intimate function space for board meetings, weddings, and special celebrations.

“It is a great honor for Six Senses to be selected as the resort operator by Félicité Island Development Limited,” said Bernhard Bohnenberger, president of Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas. “The island of Félicité is absolutely gorgeous and we eagerly look forward to creating a rich Six Senses experience for our guests on this pristine private island.”
