Sage Hospitality to Manage Four Seasons Philadelphia Upon Conversion

BETHESDA, Md.—As part of Host Hotels & Resorts’ efforts to reposition the Four Seasons Philadelphia to a third-party managed independent luxury hotel, the company has selected Sage Hospitality to manage the property starting in June 2015.

Sage will be an integral partner in transforming the current Four Seasons to a new luxury hotel with a unique identity. Extensive multimillion dollar renovations including numerous value enhancement projects are expected to begin at the time of the management transition in June 2015. The hotel will be closed during the renovation period with a planned reopening in the fall of 2015.

“We are very excited about this value enhancement opportunity to redevelop this landmark hotel,” said, Minaz B. Abji, executive vice president, asset management. “Sage’s wealth of experience with lifestyle hotels, combined with their highly successful and profitable restaurant division will make a critical contribution to the redevelopment of this asset. We expect that the transformation will drive meaningful value at this hotel.”

  1. I’m Emily, Conference Operations Manager here at Conexus Financial, we’re a media and events company in the financial sector based in Sydney, Australia.

We are hosting a conference in October 2016 at University of Pennsylvania and I’m looking for a hotel nearby for our delegates to book their accommodation. We would need 100 rooms for 3 to 4 nights, do you contract room blocks? If so, could you please send me further information outlining terms, number of rooms and rates you can offer?

I will be in Philadelphia next week to do site inspections, are you available to meet if I visit the hotel for a site inspection on either October 14 or 15 2015?

Our conference dates are October 23-25, 2016.

Room block details would be as follows:

    • October 19 – 6 rooms for our staff
    • October 20 – 6 rooms for our staff
    • October 21 – 6 rooms for our staff
    • October 22 – 6 rooms for our staff
    • October 23 – 100 rooms for delegates & staff
    • October 24 – 100 rooms for delegates & staff
    • October 25 – 6 rooms for our staff
    • October 26 – 6 rooms for our staff

Can you please give me an indication of the maximum room rate for a group booking of this size?

If wifi could be complimentary for all guests that would be great.

We usually host a welcome cocktail function on the Sunday (October 23) from approximately 5.30pm-7.30pm, would you have a nice function space or dining area that would be suitable for this? We like to make the social events very special and spoil our delegates.

Any photos/information you can provide at this stage, preferably within the next day or so would be greatly appreciated.

Look forward to hearing from you.
