RLHC Adds Bakersfield, California Property to Portfolio

SPOKANE, Wash.—RLHC (Red Lion Hotels Corporation) announced the company will add a new location in Bakersfield, Calif., after signing a franchise license agreement with the owner of a hotel there. RLHC has signed 10 franchise license agreements in 2015, contributing to the company’s goal of 100 hotels system-wide among its core brands in 100 weeks.

“This is just the right time to join the RLHC network,” said Sam Parabia, an owner of the hotel. “RLHC is now a national hotel company with great locations and an advanced guest management system, both of which we think will be a huge benefit to us.”

“We are really looking forward to working with these owners on branding and distribution for their property,” said Brian Quinn RLHC chief franchise officer. “Bakersfield is a legacy city for our brands and our guests will appreciate our return to this market.”

Scheduled to convert in June, the future Red Lion Hotel – Bakersfield is located at 2620 Buck Owens Blvd. The hotel has 198 guest rooms, a restaurant and lounge, and 4,000 square feet of meeting space, in addition to a fitness center, outdoor pool and spa, business center, and Wi-Fi. The owners are investing in updating the lobby of the hotel, all new bedding for the guest rooms, and expanding and renovating the fitness center. The meeting space was recently renovated in 2014.
