Last year, Renaissance Hotels rolled out a global ad campaign that encouraged guests to “Live Lift to Discover.” To continue promoting that message, the brand recently launched an interactive film-based gaming experience, Discovery Doors. The film was created by New York communications agency Anomaly and directed by award winning director Jason Zada.
The game enables users to explore a real life Renaissance hotel online while unlocking unexpected elements of surprise behind every door. Players of Discovery Doors are prompted to find “keys” which open doors in the online experience. Behind every door lies a unique discovery—the filming of a silent movie, an 80’s breakdance battle, or CeeLo Green inviting you in with roses. Opening the doors gives users the chance to win prizes, including trips and free hotel stays. Renaissance is also enticing users to engage on social media for a chance to win more “keys.”
