Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa Re-Opens Following $30 Million Renovation

SAN DIEGO—On October 26, the Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa officially re-opens its doors following a $30 million transformation with 49 guest casitas.

“Rancho Valencia guests enjoy the all-inclusive nature of complimentary in-room amenities paired with highly personalized service with the resort’s 4 to 1 staff to guest ratio,” said Simon Chen, Rancho Valencia general manager, in an announcement. “The resort’s 49 all-suite, guest rooms average 1,000 square feet and feature custom-made, rustic furnishings, high-beam roofs, walk-in closets, spacious bathrooms with deep soaking tubs, fireplaces, intricate design pieces and private patios boasting fireplaces and whirlpools. Special design enhancements were also made to the property’s 5,000-square-foot Hacienda.”

Notable changes were made to the resort’s clubhouse, including the new signature restaurant, Veladora, The Pony Room bar, and the new boutique, Sheridan.

In addition to resurfacing all 18 tennis courts, the Spa at Rancho Valencia and fitness center were expanded with a new line-up of classes, treatments, and wellness programs. The fitness center features a new 1,000-square-foot Yoga Pavilion that will host a number of Yoga sessions and retreats.

Weddings, executive retreats, and meetings guests will enjoy a variety of newly designed event spaces that range from a 16-person board room, to a 1,900-square-foot ballroom and 7,600-square-foot Croquet Lawn featuring.
