On the Move: This Week’s Comings and Goings

Noam Gafni has been appointed as vice president of business development for Performance Hospitality Management (PHM). Under Gafni’s leadership, the team will expand to a New York office. Gafni’s 20 years of hospitality experience will assist in growing the management company with both branded and independent hotels.

Here’s a look at other notable comings and goings that took place this week:

Red Lion Hotels Corporations (RLHC) has added Calvin Anderson as senior vice president and chief of revenue optimization. Working with local and global sales, Anderson will lead pricing strategies and co-sponsor attribution modeling. Anderson comes to RLHC from Duetto as president of managed services.

Rob Dellibovi has been appointed as Dream Hotel Group’s vice president of global sales. Dellibovi has experience in the same position with the company’s first brand, Dream Hotels. After starting at Dream Hotel Group in 2011, Dellibovi now manages worldwide corporate accounts for the company.

Le Méridien Denver Downtown, a new property, has hired Tobias Burkhalter as executive chef and Jessica Walker as director of catering. Burkhalter has experience across Colorado and Switzerland while Walker has worked in the industry for multiple hotels including Denver Marriott South.

McKibbon Hospitality has promoted Amanda Cleveland to general manager of SpringHill Suites in Asheville, N.C. She will be responsible for daily hotel operations, training, and guest satisfaction. Cleveland was previously operations manager at Residence Inn by Marriott Tampa Westshore/Airport.

Jim Keller has been announced as complex general manager of the Crowne Plaza Atlanta – Midtown and Staybridge Suites Atlanta Midtown, a dual-branded property. Keller’s 30 years of hospitality industry experience will lead the newly combined property and expanded partnership.

Kimpton The Rowan Palm Springs has announced Abe Liao as general manager and Christine Delgado as director of sales & marketing. Liao has worked in various Kimpton branded hotels across the U.S. and Delgado is a Palm Springs resident who led the rebranding of the Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs.

Davidson Hotels & Resorts has announced Michael Bennett as president of the Cincinnati Hotel Association (CHA). Bennett serves as the general manager of the Hyatt Regency where he worked on the $32 million rebranding of the hotel and oversees hotel operations.

Miranda Mankarious has been appointed as executive meeting manager for Luxe Hotels, a boutique brand based in Los Angeles. Mankarious has worked as the convention services and marketing coordinator as the International Hotel where she established client-vendor relationships.

Ironworks Hotel Indy has hired Amy Isbell-Williams as general manager of the first boutique hotel on Indianapolis’ north side. With 13 years of hospitality experience, Isbell-Williams has already successfully opened 3 hotels in Indianapolis and will lead the grand opening for her new hotel this fall.
