On the Move: This Week’s Comings and Goings

HVS promoted Jai B. Patel to vice president. In his new role, Patel will advice prospective clients on valuations of resident hotels or the prospects of new development in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Indiana.

Here’s a look at other notable comings and goings that took place this week:

Sonesta has appointed Darrell March as the director of sales and marketing of its newest property in Milpitas, Calif., Sonesta Silicon Valley. Previously, March held positions including director of revenue management and director of front office operations for the Fairmont San Jose and San Francisco properties.

International Hospitality Enterprises welcomed Francisco Blanch as director of sales & marketing for La Concha Resort in Puerto Rico. Blanch, who has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, most recently served as director of leisure sales at the Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood Beach, Fla. In his new role, Blanch will oversee the hotel’s annual marketing plans, coordinate sales activities, and develop marketing and sales campaigns.

Crescent Hotels & Resorts, based in Fairfax, Va., has appointed Raul Moronta as senior vice president of revenue management. Previously, Moronta served as the director of revenue management for Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Hersha Hospitality Management. In his new role, Moronta will be responsible for developing revenue strategies, forecasting, and budgeting for Crescent-managed properties.

AccorHotels has promoted Jean-Michel Cassé to chief operating officer in the company’s hotel in New Delhi, India. Cassé, who was previously the senior vice president for AccorHotels in India, will now lead teams to ensure growth in India and South Asia.

The Grand Hyatt in Hong Kong, China promoted Philip Yu to regional vice president of operations. Richard Greaves will replace Yu, the current general manager of the Grand Hyatt, in March.

Spa Villagio in Yountville, Calif., has named Terry Prager as director of spa and wellness. Prager has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, previously serving as the vice president of development and vice president of operations at ESPA International.

Wischermann Partners has appointed Paul E. Cardona as general manager of the Le Meridien Chicago—Oakbrook Center. Previously, Cardona held executive roles at hotels including Four Seasons Hotel & Resorts, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Soho House & Co., Miami’s SLS Hotel and the Park Hyatt in Chicago, Ill.

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts in West Hollywood, Calif. has named Nicole Young as corporate director of revenue management. In her new role, Young will maximize revenue management and distribution opportunities across all channels for Rosewood Hotel Group. Young has held leadership positions at sbe Hotel Group and Loews Hotels & Resorts.
